Bayti Real Estate Investment

One of Massar International’s key missions is to create affordable, accessible, family-friendly communities for Palestinians. Our company, Bayti Real Estate Investment (Bayti means ‘home’ in Arabic), was established for this purpose, focusing on the development of the Palestinian real estate sector.

Bayti’s current flagship project is Rawabi, the first planned city in Palestine. Rawabi is the largest private sector project ever carried out in Palestine. The city will provide more than 5,000 housing units with multiple floor plans, spread across 23 neighborhoods. Its municipal boundaries will encompass 6,300,000 square meters of land (1,560 acres), located predominantly in the area designated by the Oslo Agreement as Area (A) under Palestinian Authority control. Rawabi will initially be home to 25,000 residents, with additional residential and commercial units slated for subsequent construction phases that will ultimately serve a city with a population of more than 40,000. Amenities include public and private schools, centers for the arts, medical facilities, mosques and a church. Its commercial center comprises a retail business district, hotel and convention center, and a world-class ICT hub. The city offers recreation with extensive green spaces, cinemas, football stadium and outdoor arena. All of these features will create a home as well as an economical and cultural destination for all Palestinians. The investment in Rawabi will eventually exceed more than $1 billion USD, not to mention the creation of thousands of job opportunities and the multiplier effect it stimulates on hundreds of Palestinian businesses.

Developed by international consultants and local experts from Birzeit and An-Najah Universities in addition to the Rawabi technical teams, Rawabi is being built according to a master plan. The master plan provides the framework to ensure that Rawabi and its residents flourish for generations to come. The city integrates international planning principles and sustainable environmental practices, and boasts state of-the-art infrastructure, modern architecture in a regional style, and an easily navigable cityscape for both residents and visitors. Rawabi will also be a Smart City, incorporating smart building management systems, utility meters, transportation applications among other ‘smart’ parameters, and is positioned to become a major ICT hub in the region.

Rawabi is located only 9 km north of Ramallah and 3.5 km north of Birzeit, and lies 25 km to the north of Jerusalem and 25 km south of Nablus. The view west from Rawabi's hilltops is a panoramic vista of the Mediterranean coast. The municipal boundaries will encompass 6,300,000 square meters of land (1,560 acres), located predominantly in the area designated by the Oslo Agreement as Area (A) under Palestinian Authority control.
Bayti also builds communities in Morocco, where it has constructed and sold thousands of high-quality affordable apartment homes. Every Bayti project creates several thousand direct and indirect employment opportunities, providing multi-level stimulus to local and national economies.
